Mars Tsunuki werd in 2016 geopend door Hombo Shuzo in Minamisatsuma in de prefectuur Kagoshima, de bakermat van het bedrijf. Het is de tweede whiskydistilleerderij van Mars, bewust gevestigd in een warmer klimaat dan het bergachtige Mars Shinshu. Er wordt een breed scala gestookt, van onverveend tot zwaar getorft, met de eerste single malt rond 2020.
