St. George's Distillery werd in 2006 opgericht door de Norfolkse boer James Nelstrop en zijn zoon Andrew, en geldt als de eerste geregistreerde Engelse single malt-distilleerderij in ruim honderd jaar. De distilleerderij ligt in Roudham (Norfolk) en werd in maart 2007 officieel geopend door de toenmalige Prins Charles; de koperen ketels van Forsyths draaiden vanaf eind 2006 en de eerste rijpe single malt kwam in 2009 op de markt. Onder de naam The English Whisky Co. gebruikt men lokale gerst en water uit de Breckland-aquifer, met whisky's die natuurlijk van kleur zijn, niet koud-gefilterd en doorgaans op 46% ABV gebotteld worden.
